The police department itself the employees are friendly and they will help you in your time of distress. But the police officers that drive around the town, are some of the worst police that I have ever ran into. They do very shady things like run up on your car while you're driving down the road and almost tailgates you to read your license plate, or maybe it's the scare you into making a mistake so they can write you a ticket. This Police Department is known 4 racial profiling and doing illegal things like chalking people's tires at the three bars in town. Also they sit across the street from the bars and wait for people to leave and then follow them to wherever they're going. Now you may think this is safe but I believe it's a break of the Constitution and something should be done about the way the Almont police police this town. Crime hasn't seemed to gone down much it seems like they're wasting many man hours riding on people's bumpers to run their license plate instead of looking 4 people doing illegal activities. Also driving older vehicles is another reason for them to ride close to you and pull you over, just another profiling thing. I would love to say great things about our police officers, because I have nothing against police officers I actually respect them greatly considering I'm a veteran of the United States Army and I know what it takes to protect the citizens you're sworn to but when they go over the line it becomes too much.
